Supporting Families Living With Autism In Bristol

Until  everyone  understands

Findability; Bristol's Local Offer

Here you can find local information, help and support for children and young people with special educational needs or a disability (SEND).

Council For Disabled Children

We are the only National body that brings together the diverse range of organisations that work with and for disabled children to support the development and implementation of policy and practice.

Phone: 0207 843 1900

IPSEA

IPSEA is a national charity providing free legally based advice to families who have children with special educational needs. All our advice is given by trained volunteers.

Are you a parent of a child with special needs? Do you have problems with their education?

IPSEA's trained volunteers give free, legally based independent advice and support in England and Wales. Our help lines can be busy as we generally have just one or two volunteers covering them.

KIDS

The law for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities has recently changed under the Children and Families Act. Statements of SEN will gradually be transferred to Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans.

During this transitional period, it is the job of Independent Supporters to help parents and young people understand, be supported and feel confident throughout these changes.

KIDS is providing the Independent Supporters Service across a number of areas.

Supportive Parents

Supportive Parents is a charity providing information and support to families of children with any type of special educational need (SEN) from 0-19 years in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
